Projection Mapping Animation in openFrameworks


boxedin is an experiment in storytelling in three dimensions.

Using projection mapping, I wanted to cover three surfaces and tell a story where a beat up cardboard box serves as a canvas for a story about finding solace in confined spaces.


The story is about a bird who wakes the protagonist up from slumber, and follows him around singing, much to his annoyance.

The protagonist chases the bird away, through various windows.



Eventually the bird leads the protagonist to pay attention to the world outside the windows, and both are at peace.
